From http://t.co/juwUfx9leH: Per cap. consumption of cheese is correlated (r= .95) with the number of people killed by their own bedsheets?
Want to demonstrate the caution necessary when writing about correlations? See “spurious correlations”: http://t.co/juwUfx9leH.
A recent online search on the subject of grit brought me to The Duckworth Lab website. Soon I found myself reading a blog by Dr. Nico Rose called MAPPALICIOUS! A graduate of University of Pennsylvania’s Masters of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) program, brand manager, management coach and lecturer, he is the author of License for Satisfaction: Positive Psychology in Practice. (I didn’t find his book in an English translation, but the nuts and bolts of it are available on his web site.) He has compiled a running list of books dealing with positive psychology and its application to leadership, management and organizations. Take a look.
